The Jones Family - Newborn - Montana Autumn

A newborn is a great excuse for a gorgeous family session set right outside of Glacier National Park. Jill is a dear friend of mine and an amazing photography colleague. Check out her work here . I was so honored when I got this opportunity to shoot her family. Originally, this was supposed to be a maternity session, but little baby Jack came early and we had so many rescheduling due to sickness when you have 4 littles, it’s cold and flu season, and your client has 4 littles. I’m so glad we were finally able to make this work. . . And you must check out these outfits. Great inspiration! Jill, I hope you will soak in these days. We all know how fast they go and it’s only faster with each little one.

When Allison contacted me for a lifestyle family session, I have to say, I was so excited. Lifestyle family sessions are a relaxed way to document and remember your family - to remember how this stage felt when your littlest were free spirits content and happy to roam around the yard with their bikes, jump off of rocks, and play with chickens. Lifestyle In Home Family Session - The Steele Family

I have loved being able to document this family as they add onto their family. When Kathleen mentioned doing a in-home session, my heart skipped a beat. I love in home sessions. They are so intimate and relaxed. It’s the perfect way to document your family when you have a little one. Not to mention, it was the morning of a blizzard and the drifts were so intense (Montana weather for you), I almost lost the road a few times. Well, actually the road was hard to recognize as a road, because of the snow blown over. Nothing some extra throttle won’t fix.

A hope you remember these moments - the fresh new feel of a baby, the way your older kids welcome in the new one, and the energy of your littles forever.

When Emily contacted me to shoot their family this year, I didn’t know that a beautiful fresh blanket of snow would grace us literally the same day as the session. . . And Emily basically knows how to work the outfits. She picked this out on a whim. I wish I had fashion skills like that. Josiah and Emily are the owners of Diamond B Weddings and Events in Kalispell, Montana. If you are looking for a gorgeous place to get married or host an event, they are located on the Flathead River and just built a huge new barn (that’s heated in the winter ;)
