Putting together this styled shoot I had a vision for a cozy, sweater, mountain, winter elopement style at sunrise. Who else does this at sunrise? If you are interested in getting married at sunrise, hit me up. Huge thanks to Hannah at Columbia Mountain Cabins. She was so helpful and you should check out her venue here if you are eloping or getting married Jacki at J Scott Couture runs a boss bridal shop. You can see more of her gorgeous dresses here Thanks to Poshmark for the sweater. Huge thanks to Conrad Floral for the flowers, Christina over at Soucie and Soucie for the hair and makeup (special thanks for getting up so early to get the work done before sunrise). And finally, my awesome models Jakob and Jessica. You guys were so flexible and fun!Read More
When I first met Patricia, it was over the phone. Matter of fact, we didn’t meet in person until just a few days prior to her wedding. It didn’t take long for me to realize this wedding would be a perfect fit.
Joe and Patricia came all the way from Nebraska to get married in the incredible state of Montana and chose the dear town of Whitefish to say I do in. I'd say it was worth it! Their first look was set beneath Big Mountain with Whitefish Lake in the backdrop.
This couple was so adventurous and easy-going. I'm super pleased I got to play this part in their special day.
This wedding dress - Essence of Australia - I can’t get enough of it.Read More
When Rob and Lauren contacted me about photographing their elopement in Kalispell, I’ve got to tell you I was thrilled. Elopements are one of my favorite to photograph! Rob and Lauren planned their elopement for the middle part of October. Lauren asked me prior to the event, if I thought it would be cold, I responded, “Well. . . it depends on what your definition of cold is.” When she told me she grew up in Missoula, I knew she’d be good. But, seriously, the weather in Montana is so unpredictable. It could be sunny and warm in October or an all-out blizzard. This day it was perfect and I was down to a sleeveless shirt.
Thanks Rob and Lauren. I wish you happiness and joy for the rest of your lives!Read More
When I first met Jessica over coffee to discuss her wedding, I do she was head over heals for Kyle. We got this wonderful opportunity to know each other over an incredible fall engagement session. After that, I just knew that there wedding was going to be FUN and they have this amazing chemistry between each other - like they laugh we each other the whole time.
This June day was the perfect combination of clouds and sun cover. The drama in the sky was unmatched and set on the Flathead River, the location was stunning.Read More
I might be a little biased because I picked an October wedding for myself, but I honestly believe that October is the best month out of the year and the most wonderful time to get married. A slight dusting of snow on the mountains, that feeling of fresh air. Call me crazy, but I would take cool temperatures over the heat any day.
Chad & Courtney had such a joyful wedding (I've never seen so many gifts exchanged between the bride and groom before) and I'm so glad that I got to have this special place in their day.Read More
You can't help but have a smile on your face around these two - there is so much joy! I feel like autumn's in Montana are simply magical. . . especially at sunset. I think you will probably agree.
I can't wait for the riverside, red barn wedding Kyle and Jessica are having this summer!Read More
This was such a fun, relaxed wedding. I absolutely loved all of the special touches - I mean, come on, wooden bouquets?!? Why didn't I think of that? An intimate ceremony set on Flathead Lake. Could you ask for more?Read More
This couple right here! I totally get their adventure vibe. An intimate wedding set in the Swan Mountains (I have lived in the Kalispell area my whole life and have not spent near enough time exploring the Swan mountains) and a day that was perfect with the smoke clearing just in time. This wedding was a blast. . . and a place where you could eat as much whipped cream as you want judgment free. To top it off, who doesn't love an evening post-wedding plunge in the lake! Thanks, Matt and Amanda for picking me to photograph your wedding.Read More
A Bohemian inspired wedding - the bride had amazing braided hair. At the Springhill Pavilion in Bozeman, MT - this was the location where parts of "A River Runs Through It" and "The Horse Whisperer" movies were filmed. Surrounded by open fields and breathtaking mountains, the day couldn't have been more perfect. Wishing you two - Parker and Lindzee - the most happiness!Read More
